Three Reasons Why You’d Want to Create a Children’s Book
1. You want to create something special for your child. A bedtime story with them as the hero. Your family dog as the main character. Something they'll keep forever.
2. You see the business opportunity. Children's books sell. Parents buy them constantly. Grandparents need gifts. Teachers stock their libraries. It's a market that keeps growing.
3. You want to build your illustration portfolio. You need finished work to show potential clients. A completed book proves you can handle the whole process, not just random sketches.
All three paths use the same workflow. All three end with a real, published book.
Join this course to get the exact blueprint - from the idea to the finished ebook.
Finally, a Course That Actually Teaches You From the Very Beginning
What makes this different from everything else you've tried:

You will learn Procreate from scratch
I assume you know nothing and build every skill step-by-step.
Your Work Will Actually Look Like the Examples
The #1 complaint about other courses? "My version looks nothing like theirs." I show you exactly why yours looks different and how to fix it every single time.
Never Gets Outdated or Disappears
Procreate updates constantly. So does this course. While other courses become obsolete in months, you always have the latest techniques at your fingertips.
Finally Get Results You're Proud Of. Even If You Only Have 30 Minutes
This course is designed so your artwork actually matches what you see demonstrated. Each lesson builds on the last, so 30 minutes today plus 30 minutes tomorrow equals real progress.
Why Most People Never Finish Their Book
You know what stops most people? It's not the drawing.
It's everything else.
How many pages should it be?
Where does the text go?
What file format do publishers want?
How do you keep your art style consistent across all pages?
Other courses teach you to "draw cute characters" and leave you to figure out the rest. Then you get stuck halfway through and quit.
This course is different.
What Makes This Actually Work
What makes this different from everything else you've tried:
You Learn The Complete Process
From the first idea to your published book - digital or printed. Story structure, character design, page layouts, illustration techniques, file prep, publishing platforms. The whole thing, in order, nothing skipped.
Your Book Gets Built As You Go
You're not doing random practice drawings. Every lesson moves your actual book forward. By the end, you have a finished book, not a folder of disconnected sketches.
We Handle The Technical Stuff
Canvas settings, color modes, DPI, export formats. The “boring stuff” that trips everyone up. We explain it in plain English so you don't mess it up.
It Works For Any Skill Level
Never illustrated before? That's fine. We teach you the techniques as we go. Already drawing but never made a book? We focus on the parts you're missing.

Master the basics
By starting with different flower petals, learning about all the different types of pollen and getting to know various types of leaves, we’ll build a strong foundation on top of which you’ll be able to build on.
Colour the right way
You’ll learn how to properly sequence your layers in order to capture the natural essence of your botanical designs. In addition to that, you’ll learn how to select the exact colours and apply them to really nail the natural look of the flower.
Use the right brushes
By enrolling in this course, you’ll get a set of brushes that we will use for the exercises. We’ll learn which brushes to use for different types of drawing techniques. You’ll also master drawing the lines to make your flowers really pop!
Capture the details
Paint flowers that people will recognize right away. Learn to recognize and capture complex details that make each flower unique.
You'll learn by doing
A little time each day is all it takes, and you’ll start seeing your story come to life faster than you think. Step by step, you’ll go from a blank page to publishing your very first finished book.

Advanced Skills Explained Simply By an Experienced Teacher
I'm Freya Kotchakorn. I've been doing digital illustration for over 15 years, working with brands like Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., and Sephora. I also teach Procreate workshops at Apple Stores and have helped over 80,000 students learn digital art through my online course platform.
Across every art community, I’ve seen the same question popping up over and over again. "How do I turn my story into an actual children's book?"
Parents wanting to make something special for their kids. Illustrators trying to build portfolios. People with ideas they didn't know how to finish.
And here's what I learned: illustration is just a part of the process. There’s a bunch of other crucial steps people get stuck on
That’s why I created this course - to teach the entire process. From your first idea all the way to uploading your finished book. In order. With nothing skipped. Explained simply.
Because once someone shows you how it works, it’s not nearly as complicated as it feels right now.

Why Children's Books Are Actually A Smart Business Move
Children's books sell consistently. Parents buy them for birthdays, holidays, road trips, bedtime. Grandparents need gifts. Teachers stock classroom libraries. It's not a seasonal thing - it's year-round demand.
And unlike other markets where you need a huge following to make sales, children's books work differently. One book can sell steadily for years if it fills the right need.
A book about potty training, a book about starting school, a book featuring diverse characters - parents are actively searching for these.
Plus, most people who finish one book make another. Then another. You build a catalogue that earns passively while you're doing other things.
This course gets your first book done. After that, you'll know the process. Whether you make one as a gift or build a whole series to sell, the workflow stays the same.
