These brushes were made by painting on real canvas, then scanning every stroke

Most Procreate oil brushes are just soft round brushes with a canvas overlay.

They look digital. Flat. Fake.Real oil paint has texture variation in a single stroke - thick in the middle, thin at the edges.

It catches light differently when wet vs dry. It has visible brush hair marks.I scanned 200+ real oil brush strokes on canvas, then spent 6 months programming those textures into Procreate.

The result: brushes that respond to pressure, angle, and speed the way real bristles do.

The difference between $29 brushes and free ones shows up in three places

First: Edge quality. Free brushes have clean edges. Real oil paint has irregular, textured edges where bristles leave marks.

Second: Opacity variation. Free brushes are either opaque or transparent. Real paint is both in the same stroke - thick in the middle, thin at the edges.

Third: Blending. Free oil brushes muddy your colors when you blend. These let you blend without turning everything gray-brown.

That's what you're getting, brushes that behave like the real thing instead of looking like clipart with a filter.

Don't Take My Word for It.
