Each project in this course is designed to take the mystery out of landscape painting and make it feel like second nature.
Exercise 1: The bunny - Mastering short fur
In the bunny exercise you'll capture the softness and texture of short fur, essential for any short-haired animal.
Exercise 2: The cat - Long fur techniques
Challenge yourself with a two-tone, long-furred cat. This lesson is all about layering to recreate the luxurious, flowing fur that cats are famous for. Take the skills you gain from this course and use them to draw other long-furred animals ... or even think of your own unique species!
Exercise 3: The dog - Shiny coats and complex features
Tackle the shine of a dog's coat and the intricate details of their mouth. This exercise is particularly useful for understanding the reflections in dark fur, the complex anatomy of a dog's mouth, and the nuances of a dog's facial features - areas where many artists struggle.
Exercise 4: The bird - Feathers and details
Feathers are one of the most rewarding (and humbling) things to paint in Procreate. In this exercise, you'll learn how to build up individual feather layers, capture the soft iridescence of plumage, and nail the tiny details, the beak, the eye, the delicate texture, that make a bird portrait feel alive.
