Most digital watercolor brushes can't compete with real ones

I love watercolors. I've done tons of watercolour on real paper, and I use it in a lot of client work.

When you move from paper to screen, you lose the authentic look of physical brushes and paint. A lot of beginner digital paintings just look flat.

Default watercolor brushes online rarely get you that polished 10/10 look. On paper, watercolor behaves differently, and any fake substitute shows.

That's why I took matters into my own hands

I set out to create a mega-pack of 144 custom watercolor brushes from scratch. It took about 250 hours of trial and error while sampling genuine watercolor strokes.

Why spend 250 hours? Because I couldn't find brushes that met my standards after 15 years as a professional digital illustrator.

I first thought this set would be about 20 brushes. Digging in, I decided to cover the watercolor scenarios I actually hit in client work. I also added custom paper textures and a mini-course that shows you how to use the brushes.

I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I can't wait to see what you paint with it.

One click. Lifetime usage.

FAQs

Answers to common questions about my Procreate brush sets

My brush sets are collections I built specifically for Procreate. Each one covers a style or technique, and works whether you're brand new or already painting every day.

After you purchase, download the brush set file and open it on your iPad. Procreate imports the set into your library.

Yes. My brush sets work with Procreate on iPad. Use the latest Procreate, and an Apple Pencil with pressure sensitivity (1st Gen, 2nd Gen, or Pro, not the basic USB-C model) for variable line weight and opacity.

Yes. I designed these for beginners and experienced artists. Play with them, try different styles, and see what fits your hand.
